Stomp, splash, slide, dive … This little dinosaur just loves mud! What does a cheeky little dinosaur with a dirty snout do? Why stomp about getting dirtier and dirtier, of course!Children will delight in this dirty dinosaur’s playful antics and just may want to join in with the sniffing, snuffing, shaking, tapping, stamping, splashing and sliding, not to mention the mud!A celebration of messiness and an irresistible read-aloud!

In my class this month, we are learning all about dinosaurs. I love having a dinosaur theme in the classroom because kids just really love dinosaurs. My kids are pretty passionate about all things dinosaur and it's so interesting to watch them want to learn more.

T10T: Books That Have Been On My TBR Forever…

…that I haven’t gotten around to reading yet.

Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl. Click through for all the Top 10 Tuesday prompts and more bookish fun!

Let’s be real here, pretty much every bookish person in the world has a never-ending TBR list. It’s a fact of life. There’s never enough time to read every single book you want to read. Plus they keep publishing new books that you just have to add and therefore your list is never ending. I don’t think there are any problems really with having a long TBR list. Except that there are books that have been on my list for forever that I’ve kinda just forgotten about at this point.

What’s In My Bag? — Teacher/Mom/Student Edition

When I was younger, my family called me the bag lady because, no matter where I went, I always had a bag full of books, coloring books, notepads, games, dolls, and whatever else I felt like I would need. One time, I put a kitten in a backpack to take to the beach because I wanted to show my cousin the kitten. I was 7. I was discovered trying to smuggle the kitten and ultimately the kitten wasn’t harmed so it’s all good. Read more

Review: The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin

Title: The ImmortalistsAuthor: Chloe BenjaminGenre: Adult FictionPublisher: G.P. Putnam's SonsRelease Date: January 9, 2018ePages: 352

If you were told the date of your death, how would it shape your present?

It's 1969 in New York City's Lower East Side, and word has spread of the arrival of a mystical woman, a traveling psychic who claims to be able to tell anyone the day they will die. The Gold children—four adolescents on the cusp of self-awareness—sneak out to hear their fortunes.

Their prophecies inform their next five decades. Golden-boy Simon escapes to the West Coast, searching for love in '80s San Francisco; dreamy Klara becomes a Las Vegas magician, obsessed with blurring reality and fantasy; eldest son Daniel seeks security as an army doctor post-9/11, hoping to control fate; and bookish Varya throws herself into longevity research, where she tests the boundary between science and immortality.

How To Prepare for a Busy Week Ahead

As a full-time mom, girlfriend, pre-school teacher, and college student things tend to get a little crazy for me. For the past month, I haven’t had to worry about classes and assignments and due dates but school is starting back up tomorrow and I’m sitting here wondering where all that time went.

Right now, I’m looking at only 3 more semesters of college until I FINALLY graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. While I am super excited and can feel success on the horizon, I’m pretty nervous as well. My Spring, Summer, and Fall schedules are already pretty loaded and it’s only the beginning! Although the stress and anxiety of starting a new semester on top of everything else I’ve got going on is enough to leave me completely panicked, I’ve found that preparing myself mentally and physically has helped me feel a bit calmer than I might have been. I want to share some of my go-to tips and tricks for preparing yourself for a busy week, month, season—whatever you call it!

Top 10 Tuesday: 2018 Bookish Resolutions

Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme created by The Broke and The Bookish and is now being hosted by Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday Topic is Bookish Goals/Resolutions. I love this topic because resolutions and goal setting – especially when it comes to bookish things – is my jam. I love setting goals and knocking them out of the park so that I can give myself a nice little pat on the back. For some reason, though, when it was time to think of my bookish goals for this year, I had a hard time! I mean, I know what my bookish goals are but it was, oddly enough, hard to get them down on paper. Eh. Anyway. Here are my Bookish Resolutions for 2018 Read more

7 Books to Read If You Loved The Greatest Showman

After witnessing all the hype on social media, Josh and I finally had the chance to go see The Greatest Showman last night. And to say we’re obsessed is the understatement of the year. For real. I’m so glad that I now know what all the well-deserved hype is about.

Honestly, there was no doubt in my mind that I was going to love the movie. I love all things musical. Plus with a cast that included Hugh Jackman, Zendaya, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, and Hawaii-born local girl Keala Settle, there was no way that movie was going to be bad. But I guess I wasn’t prepared for how obsessed I would be with it! I laughed, I cried, I sang the songs all the way home, and I want to see it again ASAP. Seriously, I’m so obsessed with it that my first thought was to write a blog post about it. So here we are.
